Certo Durata (prototype)
The Certo Durata is a prototype camera attributed to the German maker Certo, a Dresden-based manufacturer active in the 20th century. As a prototype rather than a series-production model, it exists in very limited numbers and was not part of Certo's regular catalogue.
Auction evidence for the Durata is extremely thin: a single UK saleroom result from 2014 recorded a hammer price of £200, which gives the only public reference point for what one sells for today. Because this is a wholesale auction figure rather than a retail price, and the sample is one example, the true value in 2026 could fall well outside that figure depending on provenance, condition, and bidder interest on the day.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
