Wünsche Nymphe
The Wünsche Nymphe is an early plate camera produced in Germany by Emil Wünsche of Reick, near Dresden. Wünsche was active from the late 19th into the early 20th century, and the Nymphe sits within that period of folding and box plate cameras aimed at amateur photographers.
Auction data for the Nymphe is extremely thin: a single UK saleroom hammer result of £417 was recorded in 2003, and there is no recent comparable to establish what the camera is worth today. Without further sales the current price is not reliably knowable, and any value estimate in 2026 would be speculative rather than evidence-based.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
