Leitz SL (Typ 601)
The Leica SL (Typ 601) is a full-frame mirrorless digital camera introduced in 2015, built around the Leica L-mount. When new it was positioned at the professional end of the market, with a magnesium-alloy body, electronic viewfinder and compatibility with R and M lenses via adapters.
At UK auction the SL (Typ 601) has sold at hammer prices between roughly £1,100 and £1,600 in the small sample available, with a midpoint near £1,300. As of 2026 the value of a clean body sits in that band at saleroom level, though condition of the EVF, sensor and shutter count drive where any given example sells for; retail dealer pricing typically runs above these auction-hammer figures.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
