Leitz T (Typ 701)
The Leitz T (Typ 701) is a digital mirrorless camera, part of Leica's APS-C system introduced in the 2010s with a milled aluminium body and a touchscreen-driven interface. It positioned the brand at a more accessible price point than the full-frame M line while retaining German manufacture.
UK auction hammer prices for the T (Typ 701) are thin on the ground, but a recent saleroom result in 2026 saw a body sell for around £400, while an earlier 2001 entry in the dataset records £235. On the evidence available today the value sits in the low-to-mid hundreds, and what a clean body sells for is highly sensitive to whether the original charger, battery and box are present.
Sales History
Prices shown are UK auction hammer results — the wholesale level achieved in the saleroom. Neither buyer’s nor seller’s commission is included. Dealer and retail asking prices are typically higher.
